hamsters themselves are really cheap, anywhere from like $5-$15 at pet stores i’ve been to. cages can be cheap, or a bigger investment like $40-$50 and up, and i think it’s worth it to buy a decent cage. other maintenance like food and bedding isn’t bad month-to-month, you should go to your local pet store and just look at the prices of things to get a better idea
